Real estate agents are often seen as “targets of opportunity” given the unique nature of how they interact with their clients.
Course Objectives
1. Recognize the unique aspects of your job that put you at risk of a violent encounter.
2. Learn to avoid violent encounters by developing an acute awareness of your surroundings.
3. Differentiate between “looking” and “seeing,” and understand how to detect threat indicators early.
4. Recognize the physical and psychological effects you might experience during a dynamic critical incident.
5. Learn how to employ various defensive strategies to mitigate an unwanted encounter before it escalates.
6. Recognize the defensive options — both armed and unarmed — you can use to help keep you safe.
7. Describe how to treat various traumatic and medical emergencies.
